Chapter 21- Womanizer

TIMING IS EVERYTHING

 "So he wants me to wait till morning right?... Well no problem..."

Leefah sat back and flipped on the TV.

A couple was shown making out on the TV

 "Rub it in why don't you...."

"This just in! We have news on the rally held outside today to protest the rights of Plumbots"

 "Well this should be good...."

 "We now go to Daniel our reporter on the subject, Daniel?"

 "Yes. Apparently a group of protestors want the rights to be stripped away from the plumbot residents of Oasis Landing. The city council is currently reviewing whether this should go through to the government or not, More news tomorrow"

"Again with this.... Why are people viewing the Plumbots as bad things... "

'Are they really something to fear...."

 Leefah shut off the television and stared out the window, seeing something in the distance.

"Excuse me.... Madame?"

 Leefah didn't notice the one talking.

 "Excuse Me?... Miss Leefah?"

She snapped out of her trance and looked over. "Yes?"

 "My names CHAD, I'm one of Emit's workers.... I'm here to escort you"

 "Escort?"

"To your room"

"Oh okay."

Leefah sat up and walked over.

'So CHAD, what kind of worker are you?"

"His Maid, though.... I'm quite clumsy..." CHAD replied blushing.

 "So... Does CHAD stand for something?"

'Yes, Cybernetic Human Autonomy Device. My creator is actually just down the hall. She lives here with EMIT and works as his mechanic."

 "Oh.... So EMIT lives here... With a girl..."

CHAD smiled, "Yes. I believe they might even be in love"

"This way" CHAD ordered as he directed Leefah to her room.

 "Darn..... Darn.....DARN!!"

 "She's at it again CHAD.... Make her stop or she'll wake the neighbors!"

 CHAD stopped and sighed. "Oh dear... This might be a problem for everyone..."

 "Problem?" asked Leefah.

A woman strumed what looked like laser strings shooting from the ground.

 "Miss Suzette?"

"Huh? What is it CHAD?"

 CHAD rubbed his neck, "We have a guest so you'll have to return back to your room..."

 Leefah entered and noticed Suzette, dressed fairly oddly.

"So that's her then? The one who's crushing on my hubbie?"

 

Leefah choked on air, "Hu... HUBBIE?" she asked surprised.

"She says that a lot. Sir Emit invites many women to stay with him"

"Quite a womanizer ain't he...."

Leefah looked around, "Well... He is kind of dreamy...."

 "So you would date him?"

"Miss Suzette...." CHAD warned.

 "No No CHAD, it's okay... She's not bothering me."

"I'll be off then. Just don't plan on sleeping with EMIT, we'll be married someday."

Leefah shooed away the though of dating, "I Could never... I have a job... I don't even really live here...."

 "You are for the night, So just know I got my eyes on you." Suzette warned, slyly.

 "Um, I think I should go ahead and get my tune-up"

Suzette headed out, "Fine, C'mon CHAD"

Leefah slid onto her bed.

 "Please let me know if you need anything Leefah"
CHAD and Suzette entered a small living area outside of the rooms.

"Kay, Turn around"

"Can't you just face me..."

"Nope, I like giving that great SHOCK so you don't see it coming"
CHAD sighed and turned around.

"Is this necessary?"

CHAD jerked as he was shocked.

Suzette giggled, "See. It's better this way"

"Now hold still"
"I don't LIKE this" CHAD said, jerking is head the next way.

"Tough it out, almost done"

CHAD hands waved around robotically, "Oh man, What a rush!"

"My favorite part is that energizer circuit I gotta toy with"

"Can't he just use the power station like the other Plumbots"

"Now Helen, we all know that CHAD doesn't do well with the other bots.... Quite frankly, I think they are jealous of how much I treasure CHAD"

She lowered the screw driver, "Done. After all, CHAD was the first one I ever made"

"Whoa... I feel so much better"

"Hey, Anytime CHAD. I love you!" Suzette told him, and made a weird sign.

CHAD mirrored her, "I love you too Miss Suzette"

"I'm off to bed, you don't go to crazy now"

CHAD smiled, "Will do"

A girl Plumbot stopped and called out, "HEY CHAD!"

"Oh hey Dorah!" Chad flew over to her.

"Haven't seen you all day, What you been up too?"

"Oh you know... Stuff..."

"I heard that they are trying to take more rights away from us...."

"Can you believe that?"

Dorah blushed,"Oh CHAD, it's okay.... As long as I'm with ARTI I'll be just fine"

CHAD lowered his head at the thought of ARTI.

"Hey loser"

CHAD sighed, "Hi ARTI...."

"Get away from my girl"

Dorah rubbed CHAD arms, "Can't you two be friends..."

CHAD grew sad, "Well..."

ARTI butted inbetween them. "What you been up too all day?" ARTI asked Dorah, then turned to CHAD. "Can you leave Nuts and Bolts?"

CHAD fake smiled, "Sure thing ARTI"

Dorah smiled, "It's so nice to see you two getting along"

"Whatever, that thing can't possibly function without the high technology we are made of"

"CHAD is still really cool, I don't care what technology he is made of"

"Thanks Dorah"

"No Problem CHAD, why don't we talk tomorrow"

"Your're busy...."

CHAD left the two alone, "Don't worry. You two should have some time together..." CHAD replied sadly, hovering away.

"Why do you talk to that loser. He can't even service right. Suzette still has to tune him up everyday"

"CHAD's a nice bot, and I like what he has to say...."

CHAD overheard what Dorah said and smiled.

He walked over to the window and looked out.

"If only there was somewhere that ARTI wasn't...."

"But that's out of my reach...."

Leefah fiddled with her dream pod.

"Ooh, I can choose what to dream about... That's so great!"
She selected one of the choices and immediately fell asleep.

Someone appeared from a set of sparkles.

"Who.... Who are you..." asked the hologram.

"Ugh, Why would she choose this place... Our house is still built..."

Leefah smiled during her dream state as the woman entered.

She looked down on Leefah.

"She even sleeps with her eyes open still...."

"That explains where she went so long ago... she ended up here...."
The woman shook Leefah awake.

The dream ended and Leefah looked up sleepily.

"Good, you're awake..."

"Who... Who are you?....

The woman waved around a ball of sparkles in her hand, "Who do you think Sweetie....."

"Cha.... Chasity?.... Why are you so old.... AND ALIVE?!!"

"I'm afraid Fairies age differently than humans do. So, this is what I have become. Though I'm sure I'll expire soon"

"How are you.... Why are you in my room!"

"I'm here to warn you about what you are getting yourself into..."

"What do you mean..."

"I know what happens... Leefah I beg you leave this place and not come back!"

Leefah stood up.
"Is... Is there something you aren't telling me...."

Chasity groaned, "Just listen to me for once... I waited and waited and finally found you. Now I am telling you to leave!"

"Chasity..... Why do I need to leave...."

Chasity sighed.

She turned around and answered, "Something terrible is about to happen... And I can't protect you like this... Not as an old lady..."

"Well who said YOU gotta protect me.... I have Atlas..."

"Your contract isn't currently useful when he's 1000 years in the past...."

"Leefah take my advice and GO"

Leefah teared up, "Why are you like this... I'm a reporter. I should write about all that I'm experiencing, this future... To ensure this happens..."

"Always so naive..... Leefah I am telling you to go..... There's going to be a war...."

"A war...."

"Yes... I can't say much... But I am telling you not to get involved..."

"But.... I can't just sit here! I should help! I can fight too!"

"No sweetie... you'll get in the way. Just go back to normal time... AND STAY THERE. Also, don't tell the present me that you saw me... like this.... I don't wanna think about how I'll become all shriveled and unappealing...."

"Typical of you to think that... okay then... Only because I care for you..."

"Thank you Leefah...."

"It's no trouble... Just... Why is there going to be a war... and between who.... Will people die?...."

"Yes.... Someone you love very dearly will die... Do you want that..."

Leefah shuddered, "Of... Of course not...."

"Then go! Shut off the portal, Don't let Emit fulfill his legacy..."

"Is the war because of him...."

"........Even I don't know that...."

"Who is it between...."

Chasity looked out the window at the rising sun. "It's time..."

"What do you mean..."

"I gotta go. Somewhere to be"

"You can't just leave me! Why does the war happen!"

"Don't come back Leefah, It'll only lead to heartache...."

"Chasity.... Don't go! I have so many questions!"

She smiled and began to have sparks form around her.

Electricity enveloped her and she began to fade away.

"CHASITY! NO!" Leefah reached out to grab her but only could grab air.

"Don't worry Leefah, Just don't come back. Forget the future." Chasity called out.

"But......" Leefah began to tear up. She shook away the tears and left her room.

"I gotta talk to Emit...."

"Hello? Is someone there..."

Leefah entered Emit's room. "We need to talk..."

"Ah, good morning Leefah. I see you stayed, come sit down"

"Um.... Okay..." Leefah replied, confused. She walked over and sat down.

"What can I help you with...."

"I want to ask you why people hate the plumbots... people want to take away their rights, but what for?"

"Well, they see them as non-humans. Plumbots can basically live as normal people in this society, not as slaves."

"Isn't that good...."

"Originally, Plumbots could only live as workers  under the humans. But over time, they received right like the rest of us"

"Basically, History likes to repeat itself.

"So... Why do people hate them...."

"Because people don't like the balance of society. There must be workers to have bosses, the ones complaining are the rich who are losing workers, AKA the Plumbots"

'That's horrible!"

"Even worse, Some Plumbots are being murdered on the streets for starting families and businesses"

"They should be allowed that, Humans wouldn't want to be treated that way if it was the other way around..."
Leefah stood up and began to run off.

Emit quickly grabbed her and turned her around.

"But it's not the other way around.. Leefah look at me"

"No... People should learn to live happily and peacefully with each other... Not like this...."

"It's how life works, If it gets disrupted, it will lead to chaos...."

Leefah turned and looked at him. "If you say so..."

"I'm gonna go ahead and head back to my time... I've had enough of the future world... It's beautiful but yet... It's so cruel...."

Emit smiled, "Alright. You take care"

"Well... Time to go..."
Leefah stepped into the portal.

Someone hovered up to the portal.

"A place where ARTI isn't.... Perfect!" CHAD said as he jumped into the portal.

Two others then walked up to the machine.

"So... ROB-E, you ready to go...."

"Yeah boss, That Nuts and Bolts will get what he deserves heh heh"

"Mmm yes, And Suzette will never know"

"It's happening......"

"I did all I could to save this wonderful sky..."

"But it wasn't enough......"

Chasity turned around and walked to a Jet-pack lying on the roof.

"My wings aren't as strong as they used to be...." she said as she slipped it onto her back.

The Jet-pack slowly clicked on.

"The only person I know can help now...."

Chasity bent down and sprung off into the sky.

"Is Atlas"

"DARN!!"

"MISS SUZETTE!! MISS SUZETTE!!"

"Yes Dorah?"

"It's about CHAD and the other plumbots....."

"Is something wrong?...."

"THEY JUMPED INTO THE PORTAL TO THE PAST!!"

"Well Crap......" Suzette yelled.
